A human being was sitting at the table of Olympus, mixed in among the gods, eating and drinking what they did. He was a king by the name of Tantalus.
The gods were fond of him, and some said he was a son of Zeus. No human being had ever come nearer than he had.
But every time he sat at that table one thing nagged at him. The thought of whether these beings really knew everything would not let go of him.
