Morning came at Agincourt. The French knights mounted, talking as if the day would be over quickly. The English soldiers stood in a wet field.
The fighting was decided in half a day. Knights crowded into narrow ground and blocked one another. Armour heavy with rain caught their feet in the mud. Arrows from the long bows came down on top of them.
A man off his horse did not get up again. English soldiers took hold of them and sent them to the rear. Prisoners piled up quickly.
