Three brothers sat facing one another where the war had ended. They were Zeus and Poseidon and Hades, and a helmet stood in front of them.
Inside the helmet were three lumps of earth, each carrying a different mark. Who would take charge of what was inside it.
Poseidon put his hand in first. Nobody stopped that hand, and Zeus, the strongest of them, watched in silence.
