Prometheus was a clever Titan who cared about human beings. When Zeus told him to divide the shares between gods and human beings, he thought of a trick and killed an ox to make two piles of it.
On one side he wrapped bones in fat to make them look fine, and on the other he hid the good meat inside the stomach. Zeus went by appearances and chose the pile of bones.
When Zeus realized he had been fooled he was furious, and he hid every last fire away from human beings. Prometheus watched it happen without a word.
